Did you know that the library has a makerspace? We sure do! MakerspaceMHC is located within the Vera Bracken Library and is open during regular library hours. Everyone is invited to use the space to explore, learn, create and discover.
We have tons of equipment available including: a 3D printer, sewing machine, electronic cutter, a music creation station, poster creation stations as well as, a variety of software for 3D modeling, video game creation and other artistic endeavors. The equipment is available on a drop-in, first-come, first served basis. We also offer a variety of workshops throughout the year highlighting various projects that can be completed within the makerspace location. Please note: that an introductory workshop is required in order to use the 3D printer and/or the electronic cutter.
If you are a student, staff or faulty member of the Medicine Hat College online workshops are available.
Once you login to Blackboard make your way to Library Workshops and pick the applicable workshop. Please note: Make sure to enroll in order to take the short quizzes.
Have fun and get making!
